In this official tweet, Google said that they releases one or more changes designed to improve our results. Some are focused around specific improvements. Some are broad changes. Last week, we released a broad core algorithm update. We do these routinely several times per year.

After rolled out this broad search algorithm update, the search community noticed that their website ranking has drop and traffic is down. As we all SEO Webmasters knows that Google releases numerous algorithm updates every year that can impact your website in a good or bad way.

Google said that they will continue to make changes in the algorithms to make better search results for their users. Google told webmasters there is nothing you can do to “fix” to improve your ranking.

It looks like that this Broad Search Algorithm Update is one of the most important and biggest update in the search history, because many of the search engine tracking tools are not picking up these huge changes in the SERP.

I am also seeing many users on other forums, are complaining about SERP fluctuations and ranking drops. I am still not sure that this Broad Search Algorithm Update specifically targeting some spam tactic, a bug, or feature or something else.

I like to share the screenshots of some search engine monitoring tools, showing fluctuations in SERP:
